Tic Tac ToePlay tic tac toe using x's and o's.

X-ray Art
Dip yarn into white paint and drag across black paper.

X marks the spot
Draw a simple map of your house. Hide a "treasure" somewhere in your house, something like a snack, or maybe a treasured toy. Explain the map to your child. Tell them where each room is. Next say there is a hidden treasure in the house, and the map is going to help them find it. Draw an X on the map where you have hidden the treasure. Help your child look for the treasure.

X Stamps
Let the children use X stamps or sponges to create an art project.

X Collage
Have the children cut the letter X from magazines and glue them onto a piece of paper.

X Collage
Cut out many X shapes from construction paper. Have the children cut Xs of magazines and glue them to the letter.

Cut a W shape out of construction paper. Have the children decorate the X with glitter, paint, markers or other art materials.

Glue Letters
Place glue on a piece of paper in the shape of a X. Have the children place glitter, colored rice or koolaid on the glue.

Contact Paper Art

You will need an image of the letter X. Place the image on the table and place a piece of contact paper, sticky side up over the image. Supply the children with scraps of construction paper to tissue paper. Children use the scraps to create the image on the contact paper.

Letter Art
Place masking tape on a piece of finger painting paper to create the letter X. Allow the child to paint the picture. After the paint had dried remove the tape.

Cotton Letters
Place glue on a piece of paper in shape of a X. Have the children place cotton balls on the paper.

Letter Rubbings 
Cut the letter X from paper doilies or sandpaper. Tape these letters to the table. Have the children place a piece of thin white paper over the letters and rub a crayon over the letter.

X seat markers
Place tape in the form of an x on the ground where you would like the children to sit.

X hop
Place tape in the form of an x in evenly spaced intervals so the children can hop from one x to the next.

“X” Pretzels
Make your own pretzels and shape them like letters of the “X”.

“X” rolls
Shape roll or biscuits into letter shapes before baking.

“X” Cookies
Use your favorite sugar cookie recipe to make the dough. Use letter shaped cookie cutter, bake. When cool decorate as desired.

Xylophone Music
Find music that features a xylophone. Have the children dance to the music.

Xylophone Play
Obtain a play xylophone. Have the child hide their eyes while you play a note. Have the child try to find what note you played. Switch roles.
