Foods I like Collage
Obtain ads for local grocery stores and have the children cut out the items they like to glue on a plate.

Balanced MealsTalk about what is on their plate, and the importance of balancing a meal. Obtain ads for local grocery stores and have the children cut out the items to create a balanced meal and glue them on a plate.

Food SortHave the children cut out items from a food ad and sort them according to food groups, grains, fruit, vegetables, meat and beans, and dairy. Divide a paper plate into five section. Have the children glue the items onto the plate each group getting it's own section.

Comb Art
Place a small amount of paint of a piece of paper. Have the child move the paint about the paper with a comb. 

Potato Print Art
Cut a large potato in half. Press a cookie cutter into the flat side of the potato. Then, using a knife, cut the potato around the outside of the cookie cutter, leaving a a shaped potato stamp. Supply the children with the potato stamps, different colored paints, and paper. Have the children dip the potatoes in the paint and press them firmly onto the paper. If the potatoes are not cut evenly the shapes will not appear clearly. 

Shaving Cream Art
Add a drop of food coloring to a baseball sized pile of shaving cream. Mix this with a paint brush. Have the children be very careful, and use smocks because the food coloring will stain their clothing and hands. Have the children paint the shaving cream on a white piece of paper. 

Colored Pasta Art
Let the children glue colored pasta to a piece of paper. 

Math/Science/Games 

Food SortHave the children cut out items from a food ad and sort them according to food groups, grains, fruit, vegetables, meat and beans, and dairy.

Wash Your Hands
Review the proper procedure for washing your hands. 

Pasta
Let the children experiment with a balance and uncooked pasta noodles.

Have the children sit in a circle before lunch. Pick one child, have that child pick a friend, then have the two children hold hands and follow the directions as you sing:

Go and wash your hands
WITH SOAP 

Aerobics
Play music and have the children do aerobics or dance with you. 

Obstacle Course
Create an obstacle coarse for the children to go through.

Variations:
replace "act like a clown" or "spin all around" for "jump up and down"
